We would like to cordially invite you to join us on Monday, 2 September 2024, for a seminar with Guy Fiti Sinclair from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). We will discuss his new paper entitled “Reassembling the United Nations Family, 1964–1966: Kinship, Law, and Ordering in Interorganizational Relations”. The seminar takes place from 17:00 to 18:30 at the Residenzschloss in Darmstadt, room S3/12/13.

About our guest

Guy Fiti Sinclair is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean Pacific at Auckland Law School. He holds first degrees in law and history, and a Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD) from New York University School of Law. He publishes widely in public international law, with a focus on international organizations, law and global governance, and international economic law. His first book, To Reform the World: International Organizations and the Making of Modern States (Oxford University Press, 2017), was awarded the European Society of International Law Book Prize in 2018. He is currently pursuing two major research projects: the first examines and theorizes the interaction of international organizations in making international economic law; and the second, supported by a Rutherford Discovery Fellowship from Te Apārangi | Royal Society of New Zealand, explores regional mechanisms of international legal ordering in Oceania.
