What themes, questions and perspectives shape the research within the DFG Research Training Group “Standards of Governance”? The focus is on the research fellows and their doctoral projects. In a recent interview research fellow Elena Dressler presents her dissertation project and offers insights into her research on state’s efforts to combat criminal organisations and the standardisation of these strategies. She also explains why she chose the Research Training Group and what and what particular opportunities her doctoral studies in this structured research environment have opened up for her.
